The picture depicts a bad social phenomenon that we often see in travelling: there is a huge amount of various garbage, such as watermelon peel, fish bones and bottles, floating on the lake. On the nearby cruise ship, a couple of tourists are discarding rubbish into the lake unscrupulously, as if they are completely unaware of any inappropriate behavior. And below the drawing, there is a caption which says: "after" the travel.

The bad behavior of these tourists littering everywhere in scenic spots is the embodiment of lack of citizens' basic morality and accomplishment，and the wanton destruction of the environment is also the embodiment of people's selfishness. People only care about their convenience, but they do not take into account the interests and feelings of others, nor do they realize how their actions will affect the environment. People may think that it is no matter to throw a piece of garbage on(into) the vast lake, but just like the broken windows theory, any rubbish thrown by tourists will bring an imitable indulgence to others, and more people will imitate it. The result is that where is a lot of garbage floating on the lake. Besides, poor management of scenic spots and inadequate hardware facilities are other causes of these bad behaviors.

The social problems caused by the lack of civic morality can be solved from two aspects. In the short term, legislative measures are the most effective, while in the long run, the moral education and cultivation of people are the fundamental ways to solve the problem. Every snowflake is responsible for an avalanche, so it's everyone's responsibility to care for the environment. The construction of infrastructure in scenic spots can also reduce the occurrence of these bad behaviors to a certain extent, such as adding garbage cans and posting warning signs.

The chart shows the market share of some brands in the domestic care market in 2008 and 2009. From the chart, it is not difficult to see that the market share of domestic brands increased from 25% in 2008 to 34% in 2009, while that of Japanese car brands decreased from 35% in 2008 to 25% in 2009. At the same time, the market share of American-branded cars has stabilized at about 20% in the past two years, and there had been no significant change.

What's behind this trend? First, the improvement in the domestic industrial manufacturing has brought about the improvement in automobile product quality, which has thus increased the market competitiveness of domestic automobiles. Second, the government encourages people to buy domestic cars from policy-making aspects such as market and taxation. Compared with Japanese and American cars, domestic have price advantages. As a tool for commuting to work, domestic cars are cost-effective in the competitive market.

I believe that with the development of China's overall economy and technological progress, the market share of domestic cars will have a further increase in the future. On the contrary, that of Japanese and American cars will(is bound to) decline.
